About the "indian" theme...In retrospect, I can see that it is offensive and I regret it. My intention was to use "the farout indian" as a metaphor for how I grew up, and by using a very cartoonish representation of "indians", I was calling attention to the cartoonish "indian" narrative my mother told me was our actual heritage. I have fond memories of feeling special by being "indian" and I was trying to capture some of that childish fun spirit in the album. I know that intention doesn't dominate perception, but thats the foolish place it was coming from.
